Sandy & Kannan’s ROM - Fort Canning Park

I started my journey as early as 8am to Singapore, took Aeroline the so called luxury coach, Im not that satisfied with the service provided for the huge money that I paid. Not much on entertainment and pamperings. Reached harbourfront at 1:30pm, still 3 more hours to go for Sandy’s ROM. Thus went to Harboufront shopping, bought some T-Shirts and Japanese delicacies from the fair that is being held inside the mall itself. Pocky cost me SG1 which is quite reasonable or cheap thus bought back quite a number of unique food stuffs that rarely found in Malaysia, ie Smashmallows with Puddings, strawberry, pretzels and Japanese grapes. My stomach is growling, thought os savouring Indianised food , hence took MRT to Little India for perfect Non-Veg food. I walked across Tekka Marker Lane, kerbau Road and finally found this Madras New Woodlands, So signoard indicating it is pure vegetarian food, thus entered the restaurant and ordered a meal. My stomach growling heavily now, the food is served and i feel cheated cause it is a Vegetarian meal instead of Non-Veg. Later I realised it is pure Veg food.
wHAT disappointment ??? Ehmmm smirking and ate the food. Soon after that I walked to Jothi Store Impex and amazed to see the decorative items that is hung for deepavali , greeting cards, sarees, salwars and raw vegetables just being unloaded from lorries. Songs are blasting everywhere, im engrossed in the deepavali mood and a bit reluctant to walk away.Next took a MRT to City Plaza, walk to Peninsular Plaza - this is not a new building for me either. Singapore has developed much from where I left almost 9 years ago. Now Im dressed up and getting ready to Fort Canning Park, Im told FCP is near to Raffles place and behind peninsular plaza , thus I started asking around whether it is possible to walk to FCP, people started mistook me, thinking Im the Bride !@@$$#%$% !! Wishes and congratulating wishes started pouring heavily for me..hahaha Good Joke of the year. I took cab to FCP and greeted by Sandy’s Eldest nephew. Sandy is radiating with her sensual smiles, never seen her shyness perhaps that is waning so long in her. I could see enormous sparkle of joy enumerating from
her eyes. Im formally introduced to her Husband to be , Mr.Kannan. Very humble, pleasant and soft spoken. Very gentlemanism.I chatted & gawking happily with her nieces ,sisters and nephews. Very warm folks, cheerful and I feel very much close to them. After the witness arrived, their NRIC are swiped into the decorder and while waiting for their turn we took turn to take photo’s. I entered the ROM office together with rest of her family members, first time Im witnessing a Marriage registration, very clearly explained before both of them take the oath, very meaningful too. They look at each other’s eyes before confessing the magic word of "I Do ". After that Exchange of rings followed by kisses.
We had photograph session theafter at the garden area. I need to return back to JB the same evening as I’m unable to get any hotels ( due to F1 season), hotels are charging SGD800 for a Standard room that used to be only SGD120. It is sad that I could not join Sandy & Kannan’s ROM dinner. As Im taking my leave, Kannan’s family mistook me for a non-Indian Wedding event planner ………Hahahahaha !!!

7 1/2 years cycle of Sanni (3rd Part)

I applied for technical role but was given only a Call Center position. Im very technical person, gained the knowledge at HP Singapore vastly. I can assemble PC on my own, that was my capabality but due to my young age and proficient merely on Adv.Diploma level didn’t earn me high salary or any better position that I wanted. Life is still hard, because the salary at KL is much lower than whan Im earning at S’pore. I left my job due to retrenchment and the fire to pursue my studies is still a desire in me.
I stumbled upon Master’s degree with Systematic, registered and paid the downpayment, Im not eligible to withdraw from my EPF at that age, and monthly payment is half of my salary. I bought a kancil that time as well, thus the salary is just enough to support my studies, parents and car. I didn’t enjoy much with my salary but happy that Im studying, so I started teaching tuition for some kids after work. I still remember I used to teach continuously 4 hours (2 hours per house) after work that is till 10pm. I didn’t charge much as the family is not well to do but I still continued. Present rate at KL is Rm35 per hour but I didn’t charge by hour due to the family situation but merely RM150 for 3 students of Secondary school. I toiled day and night to support my studies and my families. However the constraint for my studies continued, lethargic and tired due to work, tuition and study till late night. I need to wake up as early as 5:30am to reach office by 7am.

During my Master’s number of books needed increased expensive as well. So I stop driving to work, but used LRT and Famous " Nadaraja Service" - walking, to save money on petrol. I used to be drenched in rain water and dried under sun. I started cutting my expenses by depending on biscuits and fruits for lunch at office. I saved every little money that I can for my studies, books and exam fees. At office I worked hard and within months after joining was promoted to Tech.Support exec and years to Team lead.Once after my Adv. Post graduate - I nearly quitted my studies because it gets tougher, I cried deeply in silence, because being a IT student I don’t have much knowledge on Finance and economics, it is simulation question and toughest among all. Top of everything I skipped many classes during weekend due to nature of my work. Thus I need to study on my own and understand the essence of the management from my own derivatives, which is not a easy way out. But the will power and my parents love conquered everything, the encouragement that they gave instilled in us is tremendous. I continued and completed the simulation with the help of Rex ( son of leading business magnate in London).I didn’t have time to go out with friends neither enjoy any life or entertainment. My cycle was office->House->Tuition->College. I rarely shopped for any new clothing or purchase anything. I still remember at office im being refered as " Anti-Socialis" , it is not that I don’t want to participate in any event, the situation was such. Unexplainable.

My religious belief is very strong and my continuous prayers kept me going on. However I didn’t do any special prayers for Lord Sanni on saturday to evade his effect but prayed to my Beloved Supreme Lord Shriman Narayana. (I read in many religous book that it is advisable to lit oil lamp on saturday for Lord Sanni).

When I started my Master’s twice Im being admitted in the hospital once for head injury at Assunta hospital due to "accident", being injected continuously from various testing and scanning. The second admission is for my Spinal-nerve problems due to slip disk and intertwining of main nerves in spinal at lumbar 5. During which I can’t sneeze when Im standing, I will collapse. The excruciating pain prolonged with hyperventilation attack that I used to get now and then. Hyperventilation attack gives me a sense that my death is nearing - gasping for oxygen continuously. Health condition is badly inflicted.Few years ago, I went through surgery due to inflamed tissue which is about to toxicity my respiratory area and it needs to be removed immediately else it might cause more health conditions. Again Im very much sad abt the whole thing of surgery, I can’t help it. It is very painful seizures.

Finally after much painful health conditions I manage to complete my Master’s successfully.Yes the day finally came, my graduation. Im unable to describe the happiness when I receive the scroll - that was the time where 7 1/2 years of sanni cycle came to abrupt -end.In the whole story of 7.5 years 2 other major "incidents" happened which I would prefer to remain anonymous, I was mentally "torchured" for 7 years & mentally "abused" . I lived in fear for the 7 years of my life, feared for many thing till it cause my first landing in the hospital due to head injury - the so called "accident".

During the first 2 years when Im still in college -NIIT, a Chief Priest from India - Sri Kalikambal Temple - Swami Satha Sivom. He appeared in the Rajni’s movie " Baba" , the statue used in the movie is from his temple. He is none other than the GREAT Saivisme follower Sivachariar T.Sambamoorthy’s son. The Late T.Sambamoorthy Sivachariar is the 3rd highest priest in India and world renown priest whom have conducted thousands of Yagnas, Yagams, Kumbhabhishegam and gave speech for world peace around world. I have met the GREAT and received his blessings when I was a kid. Swami Satha Sivom ( who was undergoing silence) stayed with us for many months when he came to know the disastrous ( which need to be remained anonymous) happened. He advised both myself and sister to leave our home and stay in another place as we’re both going through Sanni thesai, it is advisable to not see our parents face everyday. Also we’re advised to cross sea if possible, we crossed sea almost every weekend - passing JB to Singapore. It is a ritual to reduce the impact of Sanni. He conducted numerous prayers for our family, homam’s and continuous deep meditation at our home. He is someone whom I respected for everything that he have done for us - Agains GOD SEND Man !

7 1/2 Years of Sanni Cycle (Part2)

I need to admit I forgot to add few other prediction the astrologer blurted, he said that we will not be able to pursue our studies neither continue our studies, we will run away from the house and entangled in love life. I believe at tht young age most of the astrologer prediction will b the same old bull story.

let me continue.

After SPM Though Im not at all interested to further my studies in any other field than medicine. Since i lost 1 point for my aggregrade, I have received letter to study in the top notch school for STPM - English College in JB. Taking into consideration my mom’s advice to study in IT field. Started my college at NIIT, although having so much of dislikes I went on. That time I haven’t used a computer, I don’t even know what is copy-paste ( once I used to memorize the steps for copy-paste for my exam !! hahah Damn IT Dummy but now Im sitting and blogging) hehe. I went through so much with the studies because I hated it, but my SPM result is my firing point in my life, I studied very hard and passed all my papers with distinction and flying colors. Two years of college life about to end …. Dang ! My mom came back with a bad news that Singapore is Retrenching, she is affected and retrenched. A month later the same thing happen to my dad when the company is being taken over by another firm and he is already 55 years old and to be retired as well. I clearly remember it was October and Msia is facing the heat of economy crisis. Retrenchment happened globally.
Now both my parents are jobless and we’re about to end of college life to pursue our degree. We have decided the college to enter and even suggested some twinning program with UK. Things took sudden turn, major disappointment… My parents got cheated by unscruplous Share market remisier , we lost Huge amount of money, all that are my parents hard earned money, their sweat and blood. So now both myself and my sis decided to start looking for job to support our parents and we need to pay for loans, our dream to pursue degree took a quick twist. A month after my college studies was completed, we manage to secure a job at HP Singapore as Technical Asst. But before we secure the job, we ran into financial constraint, I do remember that week was Navaratiri, myself and my sis used to go to temple for prayers and temple food, we will pack and bring back for my parents as well. Yes we had difficulties even with food !! My parents went through much trauma after losing their job and losing huge amount of money. What a Karma effect ! Suffered so much at tht young age where I see girls in my age are much jollying and enjoying their teenage years happily.
Job at Singapore is a challenging, we worked at Alexandra Rd before being transfered to Sengkang. We need to wake up as early as 4am to get ready to work, to dress up, drive to JB custom and take a 170 bus to Kranji (the S’pore Immigration Jam is killer and polluted our breathing daily). From Kranji MRT to Yio Chu Kang , another bus to Sengkang and 15 min walk to the school. Im just 19 yrs old at tht time, Technical Asst means, The only technical IT personnel and need to support - 500 PC/laptops, projector,Camera (Digital/Video), Patching Lan Cables, Testing of RJ45 cables in LAN room, mounting the servers on the rack and all MOE apps. Yes singapore schools are equiiped with such Hi-Fi facility unlike schools in malaysia. 4 storey building and you need to carry the heavy monitors and PC up and down without using the lift. I did build a lean muscle :-) The user’s in Spore are very nasty at times, but there are just many wonderful people around there. It was in HP I learned IT deeply such as laying of fiber channel, backup and I used to climb the server rack to mount servers. I will finish work at 5pm and reach my JB home at 10pm. I had enough time to take shower, dinner and sleep, the next day need to wake up at 4am in the morning and repeat the whole cycle again. What a life man !!

It is already 30 days and now time for my first salary , since I don’t have a bank account yet, cheque is given to us. But to encash it you need to open a account with POSB, but before that you need to have valid work permit. Permit will take some time to be processed and etc, I do remember that day , never will I erase it from my sense even at this moment, I only have SGD5 with some coins with me, I went to Tanjung Pagar for my permit And unsure where exactly the building is and have been walking up and down for hours, no one helped me. I asked many ppl but all gave wrong direction. It is freaking hot and im getting dried under the sun, Lastly I manage to approach a kind hearted gentleman , he showed me the way. His name is Ananth - Foreigner, someone holding very high post, he took a cab to IBM tower first, bought for me food capati and chick peas. God knows how hungry I was that time.

***I don;t want to waste money by eating as I need SGD5 to take MRT back to Woodlands !!
Infact for work permit I need to go to MOM not Immigration office !!! The HR Manguz didn’t give correct information, he took the cab again to MOM and drop me there and gave me SGD10 for me to go back, although I didn’t utter to him that Im lacking of cash !! Im speechless at the moment, he is total stranger but came all the way and took all the trouble to guide and show me the way. He is a GOD send man. After I get my clearance i quickly went to nearest POSB to encash the cheque.
*** Im totally stranger at Singapore- at the age of 19 I didn’t know much about the roads
or anything, but all this exhausted moments I went through alone ***

Days by days gone, every saturday I used to walk from Singapore customs to JB City Square
under the freaking hot burning sun or raining, as the causeway is packed up with cars. Very
tiring and tiring. I have only sunday to rest but the rest is never enough for anything, Sunday evening I used to teach at computer class to earn extra cash also tuition at the same time. It is very tiring and some didn’t even pay me the fees untill today !! :-(
As days goes on, I started fall sick very frequently, perhaps of the tiredness..and the job at Singapore is mind boggling, they squeeze every cents out from our blood and sweat ! I never seat at my place always on the move walking up and down, I used to hold handphone, pager and walkie talkie :-( , if there is any issue the teachers would page for me and I need to respond quicker than superman !! There are lot of dungu’s there, some even will shout that the printer is not printing without switching on the printer, some will even say unable to open their file without putting in their diskette in the PC !! Better still some put the diskette into the CD-ROM compartment and got the whole ROM stucked !! I
feel like laffing now but at tht time !@#$#%%$% !! For all their silly mistake I need to respond fast , just imagine if everyone are the same.
We rented a room in Singapore . Since I wanted to save money, I started eating less at night, I merely will stick to Thosai (being the cheapest food) at night, again started to fall on sick. SInce I wanted to pursue my studies, I took MCSE classes and paid for the courses+ the exam fee, can you imagine, I saved little by little and after completing all the 7 modules, when I’m about to Sit for the exam , The goverment sealed the office and our money never refunded. So I lost my money again with unscruplous education center. So food story and Singapore working life came to end after almost working 1.5 years.
I didn’t stop checking out colleges in Malaysia to pursue my studies, some even say that we will never study because we started to taste the sweetness of money. But I know deep in my heart I didn’t, we took the move to work to support my parents, to help them to recover from the losses that happened.I haven’t tasted the sweetness of money yet, I could only smell my blood and sweat in my salary, I went through the pain at young age. I know the true meaning of hunger and moneyless !!

I manage to get job at Standard chartered Bank in Malaysia, KL. I quit my job and moved on to Msia. …To be continued.

7 1/2 Years of Sanni Cycle

Part 1.

Initially i thought of starting a new blog for this special topic - Effect of 7 1/2 years of Saturn cycle ( 7rai naatu sanni). But I decided to stick with my current blog else it will becomeredundant and unmanageable. The main reason for me to write all the ordeal that I went through during this period is to share the challenges and obstacles and how to revive from it.I don’t feel shy to share the story, as this is true story that happened in my life and many lessons that I learned. The 7.5 years cycle has completed 2 years ago, For my raasi Rishabam the cycle started on 1997 April. A flashback….

I still remember clearly on 13th April 1997 ( one day before Tamil New Year) one man -Jothidar came to our house. The main purpose is not for astrology but to sell the Gayathri

Manthra Alarm Clock and Tulsi pot from India. While he is marketting his products he deliberately told my parents that he is can predict /explain on astrology, thus mom gave our birthdate, and time . He explained that we will be going through 7.5 years cycle of Sanni effect. He added that no matter how hard we studied , we won’t be getting Grade 1 for SPM, won’t be pursuing in Medical studies (my ambition is to become Forensic pathologist - I know this field is not any girls fav line, but it is mine), will go through a lot of struggle, Not to get married before the completion of 7.5years, will earn very bad name from relatives/friends etc etc etc and expected to fall in love and will be troubled by a boy :-P .

I didn’t believe him at all, being science student from the ONLY science class in my school and top 10 student in the whole tingkatan, he couldn’t be much bothered with his prediction, however there is still small doubt running around my head. I studied against all the odds, being a pure science student there is more struggle need to be in place compared to rest of my friends. Among my good friends now Dr.Chitra, Kalay, Kavi there is a competition that we set to ourself. We studied and studied, I participated in Inter School debate and won till district level and manage to get my rural school in the eyes of Johor State govt. Im also nominated and won as the BEST SPEAKER. Im proud of myself to receive the scroll from District of JB. We got the third placing after we lose to English College (Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar) - the famous Royal School in JB. Not easy to compete this dragon boys !! But Im still happy because it has never happen in the school history that we won english debate to District level.  I also participated in Walkathon and got a medal for myself.  All this gives me more confidence that astrology prediction is falsified. On top of that Im school’s top History scorer.

My SPM Trial result is out… I got a Grade 1.
Finally SPM came and over. Theafter my schoolmate - boy started to develop feelings for me and has been harassing me with phone calls and worst still he send me a expensive birthday card - those days a huge card with music and lights are the most expensive cards. I remember i tore it into pieces and flush it in the toilet bowl. My mom’s strict upbringing would not be happy or keen to see all this.

The following year, SPM result is announced, I went to collect my slip… I almost fainted. I got a grade ‘2′ I missed the Agggregrade by 1 point.. Damn it !! 1 point changed my whole life upside down, I was sickly sad, horrible and thinking where I went wrong. I didn’t swallow any food for few days. Very disappointed with myself.
Remember The boy tht gave me love card, called me and irritated me that day, he got a Grade 1 and was blowing horns through his nose !! :-P
….to be continued..

Get Rich Quick Scheme

"Invest money into investment plan, this will make you rich quicker. Why suffer working for long hours in the office? See now within 6 months Im driving brand new mercedez, I just bought a condo at a top notch area . Living a confortable life, If you have extra cash please give it to me, I will help you to invest and monthly you will get some interest, the more you invest the higher the interest you receive "  Sounds Familiar ?????????? This is nothing else than Get-Rich-Quick-Scheme. This had been rampantly reported in newspaper and talk of the town. If many of you could remember 10 years ago Johor was hit with this scheme, many invested in terms of millions, they receive handful investment return on monthly basis. But no one is aware where actually the money was invested, how the returns are calculated and best part is what is the company name :-( .
Due to this many have resigned from their current job and started becoming agent with the bogus company, some re-mortgage the housing loan and invested the money in the so -called investment, not only that some have started buzily renovating the house as the interest money is getting thicker and thicker, securing property and getting luxorious car.
Worst still they continued  asking friends and relatives to invest in the scheme, some of them are Old Grandpa & Grandma whom have toiled their blood out to in FD and EPF . They withdrawed and invested. The plan goes on like this let’s say uncle Babu invested RM20000 , He receives monthly RM2,400 as interest payment (12% return), the agent whom Uncle Babu invested will get extra 2% of each thousands that is being invested under him. Dang !! Rm2,400 is equivalent to a one month salary of a executive 10 years ago. So most of them quit their job and started becoming agent and pulling people from street to invest. No one ever stop and think where does the money goes, how it is invested or where it is invested, how the dividends, ROI and being produced. When the money churning become easy, our eyes are blind to search for truth. The sad story is 99% of the affected are INDIANS !!!
Slowly the HEAD of this agents started printing profile of their companies, I remember of seeing those "photostated and neatly binded story book  which is no worth of 5cents ", It seems they have invested in plantations, Oil companies, educations & even overseas Swiss Banks !!! Poor people seeing all this untrue fact they are easily diluted in the falsified informations and started pawning gold and investing . The true story behind it is, the money is never invested anywhere, the roll the money within their agents and paid off to the people, as more money is churning , it becomes easier for them to roll and pay the same principal as Interest !! ( Don’t faint yet, this is the "new banking technology sprung 10 years ago in JB") :-) .

One day the Govt stopped this scheme by arresting those agent’s bosses followed the agents stopped giving Interest to the poor people by saying the Authority has confiscated their companies money and now they are unable to pay interest. Some started to say also that the authority has freezed the account of 2 Billion thus the money cannot be utilized until the case is being cleared. The agents are still cheating through their nose without publishing the true story to the poor indians in johor. Remember the poor indians took the money from their relatives, all have started nagging for the interest else the principal should be return, since they are unable to do so and unable to bear the torchuring words from their relatives, they have commited suicide, ran away from the country silently leaving their Bungalows, luxuries car and property behind. No one knows what happened to them. Some has fixed gangsters, morons to threathen for their money, some even being hold at gun point… Worst worst, some this morons even requested the agents wife to sleep with them for exchange of money being invested.

It is 10 years now, people are still struggling as they have lost everything left with paying hefty bank loans for the house re-mortgage, working as General cleaner in Singapore to support their schooling children and some have forgotten the bitter episodes. Some are still cursing and threathing the agents for money. There is no free lunch or easy money in this world. Money that is made from crooked ways never stick on you for long time. Learn to live with what you have, earn extra money in healthy way and it will be with you always and forever. Don’t get blinded with anything you see… do some research. Always go through the bank for clearance. GET RICH QUICK SCHEME IS ILLEGAL !!

America’s blessing by Lord Shri Rama

Shri Rama Jayam

Lord Rama - the seventh incarnation of Lord Maha Vishnu has left the world with 3 promises in Dwapara Yuga millions of years ago.

1. Eagle Jatayu tried to save Sita from being comprehended by Ravana without knowing who she is. Rama promised Jatayu that in Kali Yuga he will be worshipped and adored as perfectly Human eventhough.
it is just a bird. Jatayu -eagle is symbolic for sympathy and compassion, to shelter all under his wings.
Now the question is whose Symbol is eagle ? AMERICA right ? It is the first country that other nations seek help from and also first one to help whenever there is famine, natural disasters. Americans are generous, by nature love to give offer help to others.
It is also believed giving GIFT to another person during celebrations seemed to highest form of religious Merit.

2. Monkeys who build the bridge to Lanka, they are blessed that they will become the great innovators and inventors. This also refers to America, they are responsible for the world research and developments that are rapidly growing in the era today. Monkeys are also being used as guinea pig for testing.

3. The third promise is to Sita, that women will come forward in Kali Yuga, and America is the leader in making the absolute equals of men, great example is Condolezza Rice and other Women in Coverage in current ERA, the country is triple blessed.

On top of Shri Rama’s blessing the country also has Swami Vivekananda’s blessing as well.
Another reason why America is doing well is that the numerology, US has 50 states = 5. They even use 5 pointed stars on their flag & military vehicle. Five is also the number of Guru, or Brihaspathi the Lord of Planet Jupiter - who is Worlds Protector. 5 is also a number of magic and mystery. The greeks go into battle with their word for 5 painted on their shields.Americal flag has 13 stripes which symbolises for foundation , that’s why their foundation is very strong till today !!

2008 Love Story - Jokku Cakap!

The love story of Ralph and Edna.

Just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to, doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have. Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool. Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end.

He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.

Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna’s heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.

When she went to tell Edna the news she said, ‘Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you’re being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mind edness.

The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he’s dead.’

Edna replied, ‘He didn’t hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?’

Sandwhich Technique - Management’s favorite

Have you encounter a session with your Manager and he tells you that, "You have been doing pretty well, I like the quality of your job, but lately your project updates are delayed, perhaps you may want to improve on that". What does this mean to you ? For me it means Im doing very well and everyone are very happy about my job. This is called "Sandwhich Technique"where most of the MNC companies are using the techniques to divert the exact message that need to relayed to their downliners. Basically the manager’s main message is "Im unhappy with your project updates , Can you get that done ASAP ? "
Many scared that this might pull down the morale of their staff and make them uneasy to be very blunt and upfront. I personally think that this technique do helps but not all the time. If one is not performing well, pull him to the room and say it right on the face that your performance is bad and need to be improved. There isn’t a need for compliments at all or better still beating around the bush.
Whenever your subordinates do a good job praise them wholeheartedly and when they are not say it upfront so that they can correct their mistakes.
Praise them with the word starting from " I " not  "You" ,e.g  " I liked the way you manage the contract negotiation " Instead of  "You manage the contract negotiation well" , it makes a lot of difference isn’t it ?

Vacation @ Virgin Jungle

It is my wish to visit Tmn.Negara for very long time, ever since I became member of Malaysia Nature Society ! The dream came true last week. Morning coach left to Kuala.Tembeling from KL for a boat ride to Tmn.Negara which took almost 2 hours. The journey is simply wordless, breathing in array of fresh air, river breezes and chilly air put me to sleep almost deeply! The trees and jungles nourishes my eyes with greens, nothing but greens. The Flora and Fauna evolves million years ago and standing still even today. Nothing much could be a feast for my eyes than the beauty of the virgin jungle (my good friend named it " Virgin blackforest" )emoticon . It is indeed one of the oldest rainforest in the world, aging 130 million years.

There are many activities that I have participated such as Jungle Walk, well watch out for the spunky creature - LEECH !! We witnessed Giant Termites, mating praying mantis, snakes which camaflouge with the surrounding and wild scorpion. Next day we took the "Canopy Walk" , it is about 900++ feet above, Im not aerophobia thus I enjoyed the walk very much. Next we trekked to Bukit Teresek, 3.5KM above the sea level. The walk is tremendously interesting but very tiring. It is my fault , I didn’t bring enough water with me.. I’m glad that I left my footprints along the path that we took. The miniscule view of Gunung Tahan is very fascinating, I’m at the peak of happiness but sweating ferociously. My body was swampy with sweats and baygon spray :-) The chirping of birds & singing of insects beats any music to your ears, the lullaby will make you to sleep and wonder the creation of GOD.

After lunch we went to visit Abrogines -Orang Asli settlement . They lead such a simple life and they don’t need money to survive, their "house" is just made from pinned dried leaves. They survive hunting wild animals in the jungle, using their  "sumpit" or poisonous spears made from tree sap. I also witnessed how they make fire and eventually use it for grilling their fishes. I kinda of fallen in love with they way they live - very simplistic, magnificient nomadic way leading their lives.

Next, I enjoyed the rapid shootings !! " Be prepared to get wet " that is moola for this activity. The boat will speed off against stream of high current and the next moment before you even realise it, your’re completely wet and drenched, the air is so chilly abd refreshing, I was trembling in cold, but quietly enjoyed every bits of the surrounding.

The next day we took boat ride back to Kuala Tembeling, for a second time, I njoyed the fresh breezy air and meditated in the boat. The surrounding is so calm and quiet. God’s creation are so wonderful, What I witnessed in the Virgin jungle is the wealth of undisturbed, fully propagated and preserved naturalistic equinox of habitats that city life can’t give you. The diversity of nature is trully phenomenal in Taman Negara, one of the world’s most complex and rich ecosystems. emoticon

Im planning for my next trip !!!

Fire Walking Ceremony , Theemethi

Just before Aadi month begins, Nageswary Amman Temple at Ampang held Theemeethi festival. It is annual firewalking ceremony which is in form of penance or thanksgiving to the Goddess. It is not as easy as it is. One need to undergo full vegetarianism for atleast 40 days and spirtually divert mind to Goddess. The first 3-4 days before the actual festival is deemed as most crucial days for devotees, some will observe silence or complete fasting. There are speeches by temple priest and devotees will offer free food to the temple.

The firepit is dug during early morning with certain measurement. This firewalking rituals is highly spoken since the age of Mahabharata. (read mahabharata) It is symbolic meaning of victory over war for the pandavas, and one of the most important 18 sacred distinguishable rituals rites in hinduism. The chief priest of the temple will usually starts the firewalking with a karagam ( sacred pot , well decorated which contains holy theertha’s).Some women will walk around the red hot fire beds and others will actually walk on the fire bed and immediately step into pit which contains Milk. This is to cool the devotees feet.

Some photo’s although I could not take all the shots, the location is small and crowded plus some devotees came in trance.

Prenup

Prenup or Pre Nuptial Agreement is a term that is commonly used nowdays, It is making agreement/contract before marriages between couples or even civil union. Few countries encourage this method ie France, Germany and even Canada. The content of the agreement varies, it could range from monetary, lands or property that needs to be given or paid to either couples incase of breakup’s or divorce after marriages. Although this seems to reduce number of divorces but the number isn’t significant enough to stop protruding high rate of divorces everday. There are also cohabitation agreement between unmarried couples..

Laws in each country varies depending on the legality. But it is something to be frowned upon, because marriage doesn’t seems to be marriage anymore & corrupting the whole meaning of it. Although this is well known among couples but there is no enforcement, and the agreements must be submitted to each lawyers for verification , in some cases private judge are retained to ensure neither of them is coerced to get the agreement approved . Oaths are taken infront of the Judge and some instance it is videotaped and kept by the lawyers represented.

Prenup is not the best solutions but it helps to resolve property disputes that mostly taken to Court and prolonged for years..same time assets is protected. We’re aware some marriages happen just for the sake of money or property , with prenup this might be avoided (might ONLY) altough it is not true always..

This is what financial experts says about prenup:-

"Nothing can kill romance faster than the word prenup. But with about one in three of all first marriages ending in divorce, and 50 percent of second or third ones hitting the skids, a prenup is smart financial planning, legal and financial experts say"

"Think of it as a business arrangement or as an insurance policy to help remove some of the emotion that’s naturally involved," says Nancy Dunnan, a New York City financial adviser and author. "Marriage is not just an emotional and physical union — it’s also a financial union. A prenup and the discussions that go with it can help ensure the financial well-being of the marriage."

My personal comment would be no one get’s married in view of getting divorce, instead of using Prenup there are some family laws that be used to bind the financial gathering between the couples. By the way prenuptial agreements are very expensive, the solicitors tend cut-throat and the term that is used in the agreement isn’t something easy to digest. In a simple word there are many other ways to make a marriage works without involving the laws, involving the laws might be seen lack of trust with each other, however with the current era.. things are unjustifiable, lastly the law is not implemented in Malaysia yet. :-)
