Child Prodigy vs Education Slavery
Recently the newspaper is mushrooming with news about Malaysian well known child prodigy. I have been closely reading everything before even i started hitting the keyboard, It is just very sad to see the outcome. Education slavery has turned many kids into nerds and nightmares !! They don’t even laugh at any jokes perhaps they don’t even understand that it is joke, what they know is E=MC square or some mathematics formula. For a young intellect to secure a seat in reputable university Oxford at very young age is something that need to be applauded and praised BUT it resulted in tragedy !
Nowdays it had been trend for expecting mother’s to fix headset around the tummy , so that the babies will start learning while swimming in the placenta !! Kids are getting smarter than how we used to be those days, smarter due to the rapid growth of technologies, parents compete with each other to ensure their kids outsmart another and the list can grow. But where are we heading ? Parents are forcing " education " into their adoloscent brain at the age when he’s supposed to play with Lego Sets or Mattel, they are forced to become slave to books or computers.
I will not forget my childhood and most of us don’t, I had fun time with my childhood friends where we go fishing together, cycling around the Taman just to pluck flowers, playing firecrackers , playing "gasing" , " getah" , "Batu Seremban" , very authentic " masak-masak" 
congkak and even those squares we draw on the sand and jump in single leg ( sorry guy’s forgot the name). I had fun time, although was scolded by my mom for over spending time playing and not studying, as we grew we started to focus more on other sports activities but we do have our freedom and not being programmed some maths formulas !! Education slavery don’t have any rooms for all this fun times, 24x7 books, memorizes, formulas, theory.. nothing than numbers,digits and letters !!
I have many years experience in educating, most parents tell me only ONE sacred Mantra , " Please Make Sure He/She get’s a A for the subject, Just do anything you can, I want HIM/HER to be a Doctor/Engineer/Lawyer, HE/SHE must do better than my nephew/Niece or better than my neighbour’s child" !!! 
I get sick and tired. I fail to understand , Why the parents forget to give the space for their kids to breathe ? Isn’t it sad to think about it, I can’t even digest to think some parents even locked their TV set and Radios during exams !! We have not forgotten wonders made by dropout like Bill Gates and Albert Einstein in our daily life, Im blogging today due to Bill Gates and my room has light because of Thomas Alva Edison !! They are just simple people whom have captured our hearts till today !!
It has left scars in many hearts when we read about the recent child prodigy case, Although her path may not right but she has all her reasons for being so, My hope is that she will turn into new leaf, have a steady and healthy lifestyle. A genius like her will easily be able to adapt to the change & lead a life that she wants, I never wanted to discriminate anyone. Ultimately I respect the soul that is within her !!!
