Gotcha … He swindles and masquerade from $$ to jewels. Watch till the end, Im not sure whether this movie is a remake of Yesteryears Movie which starred by Gemini Ganesan.. No..no..no…Naan Avan Illai

Pre - Wedding Ceremony (nalangu)

In Hindu weddings, Nalangu ( pre-wedding ceremony) is considered important and normally will take atleast 2-3 days for the cycle to complete. The bride/bridegroom must be fully vegetarian and not allowed to step out of the house. They are given royal treatment.

Few items are used during Nalangu such as sandalwood paste, Rose water, pestle, Lamps, rice grains & water. The items are decorated with flowers and other colorful decor. My mom prepared most of the items for my cousin’s nalangu and normally will be done by atleast 3-5 married womens. After the completion of nalangu , Mangalam Arathi is taken to ward off evil eyes. Big Pandal is also erected at the front portion of house, normally where foods are served for the guests. Apart from that the pandal is decorated with 2 Banana trees which symbolises longevity & mango leaves.

My cousin's wedding

This was the answer for my long silence…I was off to Taiping for my cousin wedding. The wedding took place at Kulim, so we drove all the way from KL-Taiping-Kulim ( the bride’s house) stayed up there for few days before the wedding. There are many pre-ceremonies took place before the wedding such as Nalangu. She is Uncle’s youngest daughter same age as mine.

Check out my fotopages for more pictures. I was unofficially appointed as Camerawomen, I did my best and the photo’s turned out to be good :) Yahhoooo.. Imagine snapping photo;’s with your saree !! The wedding was kinda of grand , it took place at Kulim Hindu Sabha Hall. Glad to say that i have droved almost all the place in Penisula Malaysia.Taiping is my birthplace hence touching the land gives me some kinda of sensation that this is where i belong too. Very quiet and wonderful place.

Some of the food item prepared are Carrot Halwa, Chapati with Channa Dhall, Kerala Fish Curry and Pilao Rice with vege. I need to say that the food invokes gastronomical and very aromatic as the spices are freshly home made. Although it was slightly spicy but very tasty, thanks to Vijay for hosting bunch of us. What a day ..Oh Man !!!

What a day ..Oh Man !!!

Today I had a appointment to meet up with one of the prospect investors.I was rushing as the appointment just got confirmed.I was racing in the hectic jamn to catch Star LRT from Ampang to masjid Jamek then interchange to Putra. My appointment is @ KL Sentral. I drove through LRT Ampang, to park my car and catch train. To my admist,I heard a loud bursting sound. I panicked and my throat dried. Alamak whom did I bang ? I got down the car and i was glad tht I didn’t bang anyone BUT my car tyre burst. Yes it burst !! It tore into pieces and I can only see the car Rim. WTF !! The car tyre went high up on a spikey divider which has few nut’s bolts attached & also some wires. I wonder who the hell build this up here in the middle of the road.Nope it is not my Fault, cause there was one car illegaly parked and i was trying to avoid it that had caused the tyre to went onto divider.Nevertheless, i started my car engine and drove aside, parked, pheww it was very challenging because it is just not a smooth drive.I searched low-high for my elite card and contacted the 24hour car Svcs, he came within 50min ( what a long wait), quickly changed my car tyre and took the rim and torn tyre with him. Many passerby saw but no one helped :( . Malaysian’s tidakapa attitude. Meanwhile I contacted my client and told him to wait and explained the situation. I went into LRT to take train, WTF again !! The train was jamned and delayed.. so I quickly ran out to catch a bus. I boarded the bus to Ampang Park Putra since I need to get to KL Sentral and within 10 min, the terror ride begun, I was holding my breathe and seat rail so tightly till i can see my veins bulging clearly. There was a competition between 2 bus Agency SJ & Metro ( I took Metro). It was filthy jamn but this 2 buses gave a terror ride to it’s passenger. Bangggggggggggggg.. I heard a loud sound, my cochlea was buzzing, Yes those 2 bus collided slightly on each just on side where i was sitting.I can’t stand this anymore,Just before Ampang Park I rang the bell and got down quickly because I LOVE MY LIFE very MUCH !! WTF again, I started walking towards train station & together with me another guy
walked, looked like Maharastrian. We boarded the same train, in the train i started counting the stations and quickly send a SMS to my client. ( poor thing my client waited for me). Tht Maharastrian guy sounded me, " Are you from India ??" I got a shocked, why the hell he ask me this question ? He said tht i was busy counting the stations..hahahah.. I was tensed because i was late for appointment.Very decent guy, he was looking for job and curently working as Asst.Manager, So we exchanged the contact number and I promised to pass his contact to one of the agency that I knows. We chit-chatted and he left once we reached KL Sentral.I made a quick call to my client and while waiting for him i was stopped by another guy. He gave me a paper and asked whether I could spend atleast 30min as he wanted to explain something and handed over a pampletes. I brushed him off , but he was pestering me for my contact, so i did gave him one. He wrote it down together with many other contact number. He sells life Insurance. My client came, went for dinner and we spoke abt Unit trust fund…………..it was good & healthy  conversation, he is very matured and very prominent person .He drove me back to KL Sentral, as I was quickly walking tht guy saw me again and stopped me aside, He saw the UT company printed on by suitcase and started enquiring abt Unit Trust, wow I was glad, " dun tell me he wanted to invest with me ".. So I started explaing to him abt Shares and etc (mind he was the same guy who sells life Insurance), at one point of time he started questioning me about my private life such as my age, marital status, parents name, my company and also started giving some astrological advises, I got pissed and i hate if any stranger ask for my private information, i
gave him all false answer and took my bag and walked away.. That idiotic fellow then pestered that he wanted to get me a drink, I brushed him off and he said he wanted to be my freind. First he don’t even has business card to say what he does, he was not well dressed, Taunting is against any Insurance or Unit Trust company !! And how the hell you think to question about my private information !! For me he was not ethical neither professional, he don’t know how to approach
people, people don’t get moved if you buy them a drink or wanted to be a mere friend. Building a everlasting freindship is not as easy as ABC !! Wrong way of approaching or Prospecting someone to buy Life Insurance from you when you don’t have the personality !! They way he speaks will irritate you !! He says that he is Nelson Mandela’s son :) LOL…WTF

U might be thinking why the hell i gave him chance to talk to speak to me:-
1. First he was a Indian, we need to give some kinda of support.
2. I wanted to promote my Unit trust.
3. we should have a basic humanities in us, respect people.
4. I wanted to know what are his product. I might buy if it interest me :)

BUT AT THE END OF 15MIN CONVERSATION I DIDN’T ACHIEVE ANYTHING OUT OF THIS !! He pissed me off to the max and i was simply irritated and swear I will never again entertaint this kinda of dumbo’s.
So what was his objective/motive ?? selling Insurance or something else ?? I quickly took train and went back home. It was almost 11pm. I had a tough day !! Really tough day but the worst one was bumping into the most irritated guy !!=====================================================================
Well I hope he don’t call me else he will be fired maximum. It was very noble of me to talk to him but he didn’t appreciate the conversation neither my time. TIME IS GOLD !! Be in a CLIENTELE business you will appreciate each seconds in your life.

I told my bf about this and as usual he emoticon me :( hehehehe..

Tamil 80's Songs

80’s song Rocks !!emoticon

It was a lazy Monday, I was not working ..so I switched on Sun Music and damn it is all 80’s song. It was very soothing to listen to Maestro’s "Iniya Geethangal", have you heard Songs like Poovadai Katru, Idhayam Oru Kovil, Hey Paadal Ondru & aagaya venilave will kill
the silence in your heart. You will continuously humm the songs.
I loved all songs from Mohan (Mike Mohan.. U may wonder why I call him Mike Mohan, if he sings with a Mike it was as though
he want to swallow it :) emoticonhehehe. Kamal’s super-duper songs such as Siriya Paarvai, Ithazil Kathai Eluthum will make any girl to draw kolam
on the floor Pweeeeewwweeett.. emoticonHehehe, this is what my friends claim.

cK’s view on 80’s songs

I think no one could ever compose beautiful songs like Raaja , even his latest hits such as Katril vaarum Geethame and Paruthi Veeran
has rocked THR Raaga everyday.
Im a music animal, I love Sudha Raghunathan’s Keerthanai and sangeetham very much, She is none other than The Late MS Subbulakshmi’s student. ( MS Subbulakshmi sang the praises of  Lord Venkateswara’s Suprabhatam).
Also try listening to Ravi Shankar’s Sitar in Kremlin, it is simply superb. His famous quotes " The Magic in music happens onlu when the artist servces it with love and Joy and the listeners receive with the same Spirit" , how true it is ?

My mom learns Harmonium & Sangeetham where else Im learning Western Music. But I have a idea to switch to Indian classical maybe next month. Let’s wait and see.. Oh yeah, I play Violin…" emoticon

Mozhi @Language

I watched a good tamil Movie -Mozhi. It depicts that language is not needed for a relationship & I somewhat agree to it, although not ultimately. Karthik falls in love with Archana (Jyothika) acts as deaf & mute girl , together along with Prakash Raj and Swarnamalya. Language is not important for love, which is yes true. We have seen many mixed marriage but how to live a life in silence ?? Very beautiful movie. No fighting scene or vulgarities, very mellowed movie i could say.

When a person in love only both eyes speak the rest just listens .. only heart understands the language of love. Nowdays divorce date is reaching higher than sharemarket especially in Malaysia, now common among Indians. I was shocked one day to hear that after applying for divorce one girl walked to pub and had her drivorce "divorce night" ( something like bachelor night i suppose), happy ever after , she was drinking and smoking away..Just Like that !! Wow very brave girl i suppose !! It is at alarming rate.

Love is just very pure it doesn;t compromise anything in life, language, status, educaation etc..etc. Mozhi teach us how to appreciate many things in our life, be happy with what you have and remember each and everyone of us has a talent buried deep in us, ferociously dig and show up the talent. Always love the person for what he is not WHO HE IS. Materialistic love never last neither demanding love.

cK Rating : Good Movie - Pls watch. I read somewhere, Prakash Raj received a Complimentary message from US Consulate for this movie.emoticon

My Medical Report

**Sigh** My Medical report is OUT !! Ehmmm  guess what. Im having the following problem emoticon , So i was not insinuating for nothing.

- Low hemoglobin & Slightly high cholestrol .

I religously do Yoga everyday and goes to Gym 2-3 days weekly. Im not carb person so I cut down rice a lot. I can survive with noodles or even capati. But Im a seafood loveremoticon..that is answer for my High Cholestrol. But why low hemo, this the culprit tht had caused dizziness and tiredness. Even today when i was praying (closing my eyes) I was about to faint.emoticon. No one would love to drink my beverages because it is sugarless.. hehehe. My mom scolds me for that each time i go back to hometown. One thing last night I can’t get good sleep, i better try for Security Job :) LOL.emoticon.

Im still helpless, I have decided to do something seriously to reduce my cholestrol and increase Hemo, aiyooo one part to increase and another to decrease !! emoticon. Jason spotted me in office and asked "Why do you look so tired" ? "You looked very anemic " that was my another comment i received.

What to do next ?? Im still helpless……. emoticon

Law of Seeds

Have you imagined why a winery need so much of grapes to produce quality wine ? Remember only the BEST grapes is choosen to produce a high grade wine. Take this example each grape has 3-4 seeds that needs to be replanted to produce more grapes. You might wonder why we need so many seeds just to produce few BEST ones ??? This is where the law of seeds plays in, not all the seeds will grow , some will die or even get washed away. You need to add fertilizers , water and take a good care of the grape plants to reap the fruit. Try to apply the same concept in our life, We work so hard in ourlife, we put in alot of effort, we struggle but not all our efforts are reap the success that we wanted. When this happens we will blame other’s , we will blame the world, blame god etc, etc.

Just Ponder, how nice it would be if all of us could accept the fact and continue to seed in more efforts without blaming or finger pointing ?? Why my investment must go on bear now ? Why im not making enough money ? Why my appointments got cancelled ? Why I’m not getting a high bonus ? Why  this and why that ?? It is never ending. But if all us could start thinking that there is a valid reason behind all that happens, our life will be much happier . Now coming back to the Grape story ,The seeds that die or being washed away could be those that are BAD in quality , maybe even if it grows it might ended up being thrown away . Apply this principle, if something didn’t happen the way we want, let’s look at the other side of the coin and be happy with what we’re getting now, There is always cause and effect, BUT don’t ever stop seeding you might not know which seed will give you the Ultimate result that YOU are LOOKING FOR !!

We always want sunshine but if it rains, It is OK, Take a cup of hot coffe and Enjoy the serenity of MOTHER NATURE. Trust me YOU WILL LOVE YOUR DAY !

YTL wins RM1bio Contract ?

May 8 2007

YTL Corp, owner of Wessex Water plc, has won a US$300 million (RM1.03 billion) government contract to clean up Malaysia’s polluted rivers, a first step in a bid to expand its water-treatment business throughout Asia.  "There’s so much pollution; it’s a growth area, especially China," said Jason Chong, who helps manage US$600 million (RM2.05 billion) at UOB-OSK Management Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur. "There’s lots of potential and the contract gives YTL a launching pad into Asia." YTL wants to use the technology of the UK-based Wessex to tap demand for quality water in Asia, where one-fifth of the population does not have access to safe water, according to the Asian Development Bank. In Malaysia, the Government is spending RM8.2 billion from 2006 to 2010 to improve the water supply, doubling the outlay of the previous period.Malaysia has 150 river systems with a combined length of 38,000km, according to the Department of Irrigation and Drainage website. Of 116 rivers monitored, 42 are rated clean, 61 slightly polluted and 13 polluted, it said. "Suddenly, Asia is moving like Europe," YTL chief executive officer Tan Sri Francis Yeoh said in an interview. "We can transfer this technology inexpensively to this country, and the Government is listening to us now." YTL’s water contract reflects its focus on Asia and the Middle East, where Malaysia’s biggest builder is seeking water, power and other infrastructure and utility contracts, Yeoh said."More exciting," said Yeoh, 52, "the same idea can be used for every river in Asia, even in China." YTL, based in Kuala Lumpur and controlled by Tan Sri Yeoh Tiong Lay’s family, has interests in property development, cement manufacturing, hotels, power generation and information technology.Almost half of group sales of RM5.5 billion last year was derived from the UK, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The stock has risen 15 per cent this year, slower than the benchmark stock index’s 24 per cent gain.

cK Views
First of all why offer the contract , what happen to the law enactment ? Catch those disposes toxic to the river and put them behind the bars instead of commercialising the offer. Come up with hefty fines.. enforce the rules, comeout with serious regulatories on companies breaking the law.

Disgusting remarks ??

Dr XXXXXXX

I am a Malaysian currently living in the USA. I am supporting the
education of my sister who is enrolled at CalPoly, California.
The reason I am writing this letter is to express my disgust and anger
regarding comments passed by the Minister of Science, Technology and
Innovation Jamaludin Jarjis during a working visit to California
recently. He was present at a gathering organised by the Malaysian Consulate for
the students to meet him. The purpose of this meeting was for them to
address any concerns or queries they had. Being away from home, we all
know that we love to meet our fellow-countrymen regardless of what color
or creed they may be.And being brought up in the true Malaysian way, we were thought to
respect each other and look beyond the shallowness of skin color.
This was not the case with our minister. He made several derogatory
remarks about Indians in general, about how they were brought in as
‘buruh kasar’ and at one point asked my sister about how many Indians
were in her batch of students.
My sister answered him saying there were two of them. The other Indian
student was fair-skinned and was actually sitting at the same table as
the minister. He did not realize that this student was also an Indian and went on
saying that he must be a ‘high class’ Indian and then pointed at my
sister and said that she must be a ‘low class’ Indian as she was darker
skinned.
I am appalled that we have people like this sitting at the helm and
trying to run a multi-racial country. I urge all Malaysian to stand
together and voice out against weeds like this who give our country a
bad image.
I demand an apology from him and I want him to take responsibility for
his words and I believe that malaysiakini is one of the venues to voice
my dissatisfaction.
03/05 03:58:01

========================================================================

Readers , Where are we heading towards ? What happened to our Multiracial harmony that all of us supposed to constantly hold  on ??

Sirs..Words is not just enough please put it into some action.

RedHaT SaTelLite Issue or my issue ??

Working night shift today, it was raining cats-dogs , nevertheless the road was slippery and cars was going on slow with headlights oN. I could hardly see the dark road. I have never experienced such a heavy rain before at Night. Many thoughts disrupted my mind, i felt the sense of peacefulness is gawking, my heart is empty…..or am I just insinuating things on my own… Many thoughts.. -ve thoughts reciprocating in mind…

Stepped in to office, i switched on my Laptop, there comes a storm on my head, RHSS is having issue, unable to kickstart, with just 2 engineers I pondered how am i going to manage if there is sudden surge in the incidents. I handed this over to Mr.SingaUtara, he did a good and excellent job in coordinating. On the other side Jason is giving his utmost support from Penang while chilling with beer in his hand. And yes as expected issues was solved, i was at peace as this impacts the global issue..

However…. the Mind boggling issue that disrupting my mind continues.. I still find it hard to digest, it is 5:13am Friday now.. emoticon, I took a slow walk to corridor , inhaled fresh morning air that snoozes all the weak veins running in my body. The strong chilled air spiked through my spinalcord and hit on my brain , sending electric signals down to me.. to go back to my cubicle… which I just did.
